I can’t believe my little girl is already at that stage in her life where she is into dollhouses. It just boggles me how quick the time passes where she is into hanging mobiles one second and the next she is playing house.
We had the opportunity to review the Fisher Price Loving Family Grand Dollhouse and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The age on the dollhouse is 3 and up, but my little girl is a few weeks shy of her 2nd birthday and she loves it! Just be aware that there are small pieces, so if your child is still putting things in her mouth, then hold off on this toy. Dollhouse is an understatement, as this is a mansion. There are 4 levels to play on, and a ton of accessories you can purchase for the dollhouse. The basic package comes with a mommy, daddy, two babies, and a kitchen set. My little girl didn’t waste any time setting up her loving family and even named all the dolls after us, including the little boy who she calls her little brother. She invited Tinkerbell and the rest of the fairies to move into the dollhouse, along with her Mickey Mouse clubhouse figurines. This house is so versatile and roomy, there is enough room for all her little toys to join in on the fun.
When the dollhouse is folded up, it can be tucked away neatly in a corner. All pieces fit snugly inside the folded doors. When the dollhouse is open, get ready for a ton of fun! I was really hoping that the dollhouse would come with more furniture, because purchasing pieces for each room is costly. You can buy generic pieces that are cheaper – but I like the overall look of the Fisher Price accessory pieces that are made for the Grand Dollhouse.
My little girl loves playing dollhouse with my hubby, and it is interesting to watch the interaction between my daughter and the pieces. The dollhouse is the first thing she opens up in the morning and she returns to it throughout the day to add pieces, feed the dolls, or rearrange the pieces. This would make a great first dollhouse for that special princess in your life!
